LOS ANGELES, Ca. – A small child is suffering life-threatening injuries after jumping on a sofa in her apartment home, then falling out the open window onto the pavement below.
The 7-year-old girl fell from the 2nd story Koreatown apartment window on Saturday, August 17, 2019, at around 1:00 p.m. When falling out of the screened window in the 200 block of S. Alexandria Avenue, she struck her head, leading to severe head injuries as a result.
The girl was under the care of her aunt at the time of the accident. The child sustained major head injuries and had difficulty breathing when emergency medical personnel arrived.
The girl was rushed to the hospital where an emergency surgery was performed. An update of the child’s condition has not been provided at this time.
