RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – Parents and students of a band director at Los Osos High School in Rancho Cucamonga and the University of California, Riverside died.
On the evening of Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at 6:11 p.m., Sheriff’s dispatch received a call reporting the discovery of a deceased male at a home in the 8200
Hours later, shock and disbelief spread through much of the Rancho Cucamonga community after hearing that the well-loved band teacher had died. The school principal sent out emails and automated phone calls sharing the tragic news.
Hours earlier, an email was sent out to the parents of band students stating that Mr. Andress “voluntarily resigned effective immediately”. The emailed letter stated: “While I cannot share any details at this time, I assure you that the District is thoroughly investigating the circumstances of Dr. Andress’s resignation.”
Although the school officials stressed that his departure was voluntary, few said that he was fired and witnesses reported to a 24/7 Headline News reporter that he left the Los Osos High School campus escorted off. No additional information is available at this time, additional information will be updated as it is received.
