TEMECULA – A Moreno Valley Woman and San Bernardino man were arrested for nearly a dozen fraudulent transactions victimizing the elderly.
Officials said that between September 2017 and May 2018, Temecula Police investigated 11 separate incidents of fraudulent transactions and identity theft of elderly residents who resided in a retirement community on the 27000 block of Nicolas Road in Temecula. Through investigation, it was determined that Ashia Wilson, 27, of Moreno Valley, a leasing agent working for the retirement community was one of the suspects involved in the crimes. Wilson was arrested for financial elder abuse, identity theft, embezzlement, forgery, and burglary. George Word, 35, of San Bernardino was identified as a second suspect and was arrested on Thursday, June 26, 2018.
Wilson and Word were booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center.
