EL MIRAGE – Two men were arrested on Tuesday as they attempted to steal metal piping from an abandoned El Mirage dairy on Tuesday.
At around 12:44 p.m. deputies responded to El Mirage Road in El Mirage for a report that came from employees with the Pinon Hills Water District who located the two suspects, later identified as Donald Frist, 49, and Mike Wunscel, 51.
“The location is an abandoned dairy farm, with numerous metal pipes on the property,” Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station officials said. “The two suspects entered a secure building and took metal from inside, before being stopped by the employees.”
Deputies from both the Phelan and Adelanto stations responded to the call and detained Feist and Wunscel. Feist and Wunscel were arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for Burglary.
