LONG BEACH – A 50-year-old woman was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison on Friday after pleading no contest to killing a 3-week-old baby.
Giseleangelique Rene D’Milian convinced her boyfriend, who was out of the country that she was pregnant with twins, although she was not. In order to keep up with her lie, D’Milian planned to steal two babies and tell her boyfriend that she had given birth.
D’Milian and Anthony Ray McCall, 32, of Oceanside, were charged with murdering Eliza De La Cruz a 3-week-old Long Beach baby. On January 3, 2015, McCall forced his way into the home of young Eliza and shot her father and uncle who attempted to protect her. He fled with the small child and the following day, she was found in a dumpster in Imperial Beach. It is unclear what led to the murder of Eliza De La Cruz.
Weeks after the incident, McCall attempted to attack a mother, who was known to D’Milian in order to kidnap her infant son. McCall was unsuccessful in the second kidnapping, fleeing without the child in fear of being caught.
McCall faces one count of murder, one count of kidnapping, four counts of attempted murder and one count of attempted kidnapping. His trial is scheduled on February 13, 2017. Todd Damon Boudreaux, 46, was charged with accessory after the fact and pleaded guilty in October of 2016 and is scheduled to be sentenced on January 10, 2018.For late-breaking news, follow 24/7 Headline News on our Los Angeles County Facebook group, Riverside County Facebook group, Coachella Valley News group, US News group, Victor Valley/Inland Empire Facebook group.
