S. LAKE TAHOE, CA. – A South Lake Tahoe woman is recovering from serious injuries after being attacked and robbed of her groceries, police said.
On Sunday, March 15, 2020, the woman had just finished shopping at Raley’s Grocery Store located at 1040 Emerald Bay Road in South Lake Tahoe. The 57-year-old victim began walking home toward the rear of the store when a masked suspect attacked. According to the news release, the woman was tossed to the ground and hit before the suspect fled the area with her groceries and her wallet. The suspect is a male and is believed to be homeless. He was wearing a black ski mask, a black beanie, a dark jacket and light colored pants.
