Lundy was released the following day. Shortly after his release, on Sunday, August 5, 2018, at around 4:25 p.m., deputies responded to the robbery and assault of an elderly man. The victim reported that Lundy approached him and asked him for money. When he pulled his wallet out, Lundy attempted to grab it.
