VICTORVILLE – A 20-year-old Adelanto man was arrested for stealing a purse from a 66-year-old woman on Monday afternoon. At around 1:40 p.m. the woman was sitting on her walker in the front of her home in the 13100 block of Wrangler Lane in the City of Victorville.
The suspect, who was walking in the area with two others approached the woman, grabbed her purse from the walker and fled southbound from the location. Deputies arrived and gathered information, including the suspect’s description. “He later tossed the purse in the yard at another residence,” said Victorville Sheriff’s Station spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez. “ Deputies located the three subjects.”
Angel Gonzalez, 20, of Adelanto was booked into the High Desert Detention Center for robbery. He is being held in lieu of $100,000 and is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on Wednesday afternoon.
