VICTORVILLE, CA. – A 31-year-old Victorville man was arrested following a 50-mile pursuit in a stolen vehicle on Tuesday.
At around 10:58 a.m. Victorville Station deputies responded to a call reporting a stolen vehicle in the 16500 block of D Street. The 2019 BMW was parked at a business when the suspect, later identified as Mykus Ceballos, got into it and drove away, Deputies spotted the stolen vehicle at around 12:30 p.m. as Ceballos was driving it northbound on Hesperia Road. Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle but Ceballos continued driving. He sped away onto the northbound 15 freeway at D Street. With the assistance of Sheriff’s aviation and the CHP the vehicle was pursued.
The vehicle was pursued for 50 miles before it ran out of gas just north of Minneola Road.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident and will be booked at High Desert Detention Center for theft of a vehicle and evading a Peace Officer with disregard for safety.
