ADELANTO – A 42-year-old Adelanto man, who was on Post-release Community Supervision (PRCS) and a wanted fugitive, was located at the Raintree Garden Apartments on Sunday. Sheriff’s officials said that Mark Carter was the wanted suspect in a robbery and domestic battery incident which occurred on November 16th at the apartments located at 18125 Bellflower Street in the City of Adelanto.
In addition to being on PRCS, Carter also was monitored using an electronic ankle monitor. The day after the robbery and domestic violence incident, County Probation was advised that Carter had cut off his ankle monitor . Continued investigations led deputies to an apartment in the Raintree Garden Apartments, where Carter was located hiding in the apartment attic. He was taken into custody without incident and was booked into the High Desert Detention Center.
|The property management at the Raintree Garden Apartments is associated with the Adelanto Crime Free Multi-Housing Program, a program that targets problem tenants who commit crimes in multi-housing complexes. The tenants of the apartment where the incident occurred may be evicted, making the apartments a healthier and safer place for the residents to live, improving the quality of life for all of the residents of Adelanto.
