ADELANTO – A 27-year-old Adelanto man was airlifted after chasing two suspects who were attempting to break into his vehicle.
On Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at around 2:42 p.m. deputies from the Victor Valley Station responded to the report of a shooting in the 15200 block of Alexandria Street in the City of Adelanto. When they arrived they learned that the victim saw two black males in red and black clothing attempting to break into his vehicle, which was parked on the curb in front of his home. The victim went outside and the suspects fled on foot. The victim then ran after the fleeing suspect, who turned back to shoot the victim, striking him three times.
The victim sustained gunshot wounds to his rib cage and left arm. He was airlifted to a trauma center for treatment of his injuries. No further information or suspect description is available at this time.
