APPLE VALLEY – The Town of Apple Valley officials would like to remind residents that in observance of Thanksgiving most Town departments will be closed on Thursday, November 24th and Friday, November 25th.
The Police Department will operate as usual, performing all essential services. For life-threatening emergencies, residents should call 911. If residents have any other emergencies, which are not life-threatening, but need immediate attention they should call the after-hours dispatch number at (760)961-6001.
The Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center will be open on Saturday, November 26th. For animal emergencies during the holiday closure of animal services residents should also call the after-hours dispatch number where calls will be screened in order to determine urgency. If your pet gets loose, contact the animal shelter at (760)240-7000 extension 7555 and leave a complete description of the pet with your contact information.
