A husband and wife, wanted for murder escaped while being extridited from Henrietta, New York, to Pima County, Arizona on Monday.
Blane Barksdale, 56, and Susan Barksdale, 59, escaped custody during transport in Blanding, Utah by overpowering the two security officers. The two were arrested for the murder of Frank Bligh, 72, in Tucson, AZ. Bligh died on April 16, 2019, after the Barksdales allegedly set fire to his home in the 3500 block of South Calexico Avenue. The two were arrested on May 24, 2019, when police found them in Henrietta, New York in an RV. Both were arrested for and were charged with first degree murder, first degree burglary, arson, felony criminal damage, and auto theft.
Blane has tattoos on his arms and hands. It is unknown what direction the two are traveling in but investigators believe that they may be traveling through Arizona. They were last seen in a red GMC Sierra pickup truck, Arizona license plate 127XTY. The truck has damage to the front passenger side and rear bumper. If seem, authorities said that they should not be approached and should be considered armed and dangerous.
The U.S. Marshals Service is offering a reward of up to $10,000 ( per Fugitive) for information leading to their arrest. . Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the Barksdales can call the FBI Tip Line at 1-800-CALL-FBI (225-5324), you can also call 88-Crime or 911 immediately.*
