HESPERIA – A 50-year-old Highland man was arrested for the Chase Bank robbery in the City of Hesperia in October.
On Friday, October 21, 2016, at around 10:20 a.m. Ricky Dean Peters allegedly walked into the location and gave the teller a threatening note demanding money. The teller, concerned for the safety of the employees and customers complied with the robber’s demand. As the teller followed the direction, the robber, according to authorities began to panic and fled on foot.
The suspect was described by witnesses as an approximately 50-year-old white man. Through investigation, the Hesperia Detective Bureau were able to identify the suspect as Ricky Peters. On Wednesday, December 14, 2016, a search warrant was served on Peters’ Highland home. Clothing believed to be worn during the robbery was located during the search.
Peters was arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center for attempted robbery and is being held in lieu of $125,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on Monday, December 19, 2016.
