LOS ANGELES – Fox 11 News, Los Angeles aired a story this week about a dog being picked up and tossed off a City Terrace hillside. No one knows why or how someone could do such a thing, but the dog is now in Animal Control custody for 72 hours. The dog, who her foster owner calls “Girl” was picked up from her foster home on Wednesday, for the investigation.
The despicable act of cruelty was captured on surveillance footage in the 1300 block of Luella Drive on Wednesday, September 28, 2016, when the dog jumps into the 4-door silver Audi sedan. The heavyset man gets out of the vehicle, picks up the dog, and tosses her over the approximately 15-foot hillside. According to the Fox 11 News report, the man returned later, possibly looking for the dog who was apparently uninjured after the incident. The neighbor, who witnessed this on his surveillance footage told the man to leave because the police were coming.
Still, animal control, as part of the protocol in an animal cruelty case, must take her in for a veterinary check and will be holding her for 72 hours to see if an owner comes forward. If at that time no owner comes forward, the man who has been acting as her foster will be adopting the Pit Bull mix. Animal control officers are now asking that anyone with information, or who recognizes the man who committed this act of cruelty to comes forward.
