TEMECULA, Calif. – Authorities are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect who stole from the Temecula Jewelry Mart.
On May 8, 2019, a male victim dropped off his wife’s wedding ring for maintenance and cleaning. The following day, the suspect walked into the store, located at 26455 Ynez Road in the City of Temecula on May 9, 2019 at around 11:00 a.m. and impersonated a customer in order to gain access to the ring. The male victim arrived to pick up the ring on May 10, 2019, but the store clerks told them it had already been picked up by a woman.
Although the woman did not have the slip to pick up the ring, she did provide the correct phone number provided when the ring was dropped off. Surveillance was reviewed, and the victim does not recognize the woman. The ring, valued at $3,300 was an 18k white gold ring.
If you know who this person is or have any other information regarding this incident please contact Deputy Gracia-Flores with the Burglary Suppression Team at (951)969-3000.
