HESPERIA – A 34-year-old Baldwin Park man was arrested for the murder of a man who died as a result of blunt force trauma on Wednesday. On Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at around 10:22 p.m. Code Enforcement, who was conducting a follow-up inspection in the 10600 block of Balsam Avenue requested deputies at the scene for an “unknown problem”.
When deputies from the Hesperia Station arrived they located 24-year-old Michael Trang suffering from blunt force trauma to his head. Deputies searched the property for evidence and/or the suspect. While searching, sheriff’s dispatchers received calls reporting a suspicious man in close proximity of the incident location. Milan Lam was located in the area and was detained. Trang was transported to a trauma center where he was pronounced dead at 12:15 a.m. on Wednesday.
Homicide investigators responded to the scene to conduct an investigation. Lam was interviewed and was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for Murder.
