VICTORVILLE, Calif. – An 8-year-old boy was caught on home surveillance attempting to drown the small dog that his grandmother was watching.
In the video posted on Facebook, the boy can see putting the senior dog into the pool, the dog quickly begins swimming. The boy turns to grab the pool net and pushes the dog down under the water several times, at times placing the dog into the net to pull her under the water. The grandmother then went outside and the boy quickly appears to be rescuing the dog from the pool.
Fox 11 News interviewed the dog’s owner who told them that she went out of town and hired the woman to watch their dog and their home. She brought her grandson, the boy on the footage, with her. The owners looked through the security footage on their camera and saw their 9-year-old dog being abused by their dogsitter’s grandson.
Fortunately, the dog named Brandy was exhausted but alive when the grandmother went outside. The owners have attempted to contact the grandmother to no avail and also reported the incident to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Victorville office.
