The City of Victorville has received plans from Chick-fil-A has submitted plans to build their very first restaurant in the area, with the next closest being in the City of Rialto. Chick-fil-A, which is known for their exemplary customer service, delicious food, and being closed on Sundays for religious reasons. In addition, Chick-fil-A has recently been in the news for their donation choices, with them making the choice in 2020 to donate solely to organizations which are education, hunger, and homeless-based.
The Victorville location is proposed to be at the old Marie Callendar’s restaurant on Mariposa Road, which abruptly shut down in August 2019, after filing for bankruptcy. The location will also share a parking lot and be only a hop, skip, and a jump from the newly reopened Steak and Shake restaurant. The restaurant, which previously closed in February 2018, had numerous payroll and tax issues, and the owners were subsequently evicted from the property. The City of Victorville will be reviewing the plans at a Wednesday, February 12, 2020 meeting and further information may be available at that time.
