CARLSBAD – A 22-year-old babysitter who was arrested in July 2016, for the molestation of two 7-year-old girls who she was babysitting may have other victims authorities said. Brittney Lyon, who used the alias Lauren Allen, remains in custody following the arrest last year. Lyon was hired to babysit the children, but once their parents left the home then drove them to her boyfriend, 22-year-old Samuel Cabrera Jr.’s home.
The two victims who did not know each other, on separate and multiple occasions were taken from their Oceanside and Escondido homes to Cabrera’s home where Lyons helped to undress them and subsequently recorded as Cabrera molested them. Detectives from the Carlsbad Police Department after additional investigation believe that there may be other victims in San Bernardino, Riverside, and Los Angeles Counties.
Lyons who advertised her babysitting services on www.care.com, www.sitter.com and www.sittercity.com remains in custody, charged with eight counts of lewd acts with a child. Lyons faces 90 years to life in prison if convicted as charged.
