CHINO HILLS, Calif. – A 25-year-old Chino Hills man was arrested for sending pornographic photos to a teen girl.

On Wednesday, March 20, 2019, deputies from the Chino Hills station responded to the report of a man sending a lewd photo to a 15-year-old girl. Authorities learned through investigation that Nicholas Rangel sent the photo to the teen.

Rangel allegedly attempted to meet with the teen to have sex with her on Friday, March 22, 2019. Rangel was contacted by law enforcement at the meeting place and taken into custody.

Rangel was booked at West Valley Detention Center for sending harmful matter to a minor, attempting to meet with a minor for a pews purpose, meeting with s minor for a lewd purpose. He is being held on $60,000 bail. He is expected to be arraigned on March 26th in Rancho Cucamonga Superior Court.

The investigation is ongoing.
