HESPERIA, Calif. – A 36-year-old Hesperia man was arrested for the abuse of his elderly father.
On March 24, 2019, at around 9:00 p.m., we received a call in regards to a verbal dispute between Michael Joseph Annable and his 70-year-old father in the 19100 block of Monterey Street. Deputies from the Hesperia station arrived to find Annable outside yelling profanities at his elderly father.
“ Deputies observed that the victim was bleeding from his right hand,” said Hesperia Sheriff Station Spokesman Edgar Moran. “The victim stated before deputy arrival, Annable pushed the victim into a chain-link fence which he believed cause his hand to bleed. The victim also stated that Annable yell profanities and causes mental suffering to the victim on a daily basis.”
Annable was detained, arrested, and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for Elder Abuse resulting in injury. He is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail and is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on Tuesday, March 26, 2019.
