ORO GRANDE – A couple was arrested for possession of stolen property and drugs for sale on Wednesday night. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s officials said that the two were witnessed suspiciously going in and out of a home in the 24000 block of Del Monico Road in Oro Grande at around 10:15 p.m.
Deputies followed the pair, later identified as 34-year-old Apple Valley resident, Brandy Luke and 35-year-old Helendale resident, Alan Gaza to an ATV. The ATV was later determined to have been stolen from Ridgecrest.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Aviation helicopter deputies also watched that pair and witnessed Luke hiding a bad under a vehicle. It was later determined that the bag contained 5.4 grams of methamphetamine, electronic scales, hypodermic needles, and a glass pipe. Gaza was also found through investigation to have possession of the ATV.
Both Gaza and Luke were booked into the High Desert Detention Center for possession of stolen property. Luke was booked also for obstructing or delaying a peace officer and possession of methamphetamine for sale. They are being held in lieu of $50,000 bail. The ATV was returned to rightful owner.
