HESPERIA – A woman was struck by a vehicle in the 16100 block of Danbury Avenue on Wednesday evening.
Just after 6:30 p.m. the female pedestrian was struck by a dark-colored 4-door sedan. The White male adult driver, who witnesses describe as approximately 18-years-old exited the vehicle and remained at the scene for several minutes. Eventually, the driver got back into the vehicle and left the scene traveling eastbound on Danbury Avenue toward Ranchero Road.
Through investigation, it was learned that the pedestrian was crossing the street northbound when she was struck by the black or dark-colored Saturn sedan. The vehicle is missing the passenger side mirror. The pedestrian was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The man is described 6’1” tall, thin build, with dark hair. He was wearing a dark sweatshirt with writing that said, “Senior”. A witness also reported that the driver indicated that he was a student at Victor Valley College.
