VICTORVILLE – San Bernardino County Firefighters responded to a commercial fire at the Wendy’s located on Bear Valley Road near Dunia Road on Wednesday night.
At around 10:30 p.m. the restaurant evacuated when a kitchen fire became out of control. Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke and a working fire in the kitchen area of the restaurant. Firefighters fought the fire in an attack mode, attempting to mitigate the damage to the restaurant, which they quickly determined was free of any occupants upon their arrival. The fire was extinguished by around 11:00 p.m.
The cause and damage will be determined through further investigation. No firefighters or civilians were injured as a result of the fire.
