EL MONTE – The El Monte police are seeking the publics help to identify the suspect in an attempted kidnapping. On Thursday, September 9, 2016, the suspect approached a 9-year-old boy outside of the La Primaria School, located at 4220 Gilman Road. The boy was waiting for his mother, when the suspect walked up to him and told the child, “Come, Come, your mom told me to pick you up.”
The suspect grabbed the child by the wrist, attempting to pull the child toward him but the child broke away. The suspect fled the scene eastbound on Ramona Boulevard. The child suffered only minor injuries as a result of the incident. The suspect may be a transient, who frequents the area of the 605 freeway and San Gabriel Resevoir, at Ramona Boulevard police said.
The suspect is described as being a White man in his 30’s. He is believed to be 6’02” to 6’03”, 170 pounds, with a shaved head and brown eyes. He has a tattoo of a dragon on the back of his head, “Maria” on the left side of his neck, and a skull on his upper chest. He has pock marks on both cheeks. He was last seen wearing a black shirt with an unknown pattern, black pants and reddish shoes.
