ALTADENA – A woman was transported to the hospital after a family altercation led to her being attacked with a machete on Wednesday afternoon. Altadena deputies responded to the home in the 1500 block of East Altadena Drive to find the female victim bleeding profusely from the head. Deputies learned that a verbal altercation led to her being attacked with a machete by the suspect.
Both the victim and suspect live at the home but the suspect fled in a sedan prior to the deputy’s arrival. The woman is expected to survive her injuries and the suspect has been identified by deputies. His name is not being released at this time as the investigation remains ongoing.
