VICTORVILLE – The woman who was captured on surveillance footage after stealing a golf cart from a Victorville storage business has been identified.
With the tips from citizens, authorities were able to locate and arrest Allison Pope, 39, of Hesperia on Friday, September 14, 2018. Hesperia station deputies made contact with Pope at a home in the 13000 block of Napa Ct. in the City of Hesperia. Pope was taken into custody without incident and will be booked into the High Desert Detention Center for Grand Theft.
On Wednesday, September 12, 2018, Pope allegedly stole a golf cart belonging to Storage Zone, located in the 14300 block of Palmdale Road in the City of Victorville. She pushed it over to a nearby convenience store where she met with a male and they both left on the golf cart. The suspects were captured on surveillance footage from the store.
The stolen golf cart has not been recovered and deputies ask that anyone with information on its whereabouts, contact Sheriff’s Dispatch at (760) 956-5001.
