SAN BERNARDINO – A 26-year-old Hemet woman died after being ejected from her vehicle and being hit by two vehicles on the 10 freeway.
On Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at around 3:34 a.m. the driver of a silver Chevrolet Silverado was driving westbound on the 10 freeway toward Waterman Avenue. The vehicle veered right, striking the guardrail at the north edge of the freeway. The unrestrained female driver was ejected from the vehicle and landed in the #4 lane of the westbound 10 freeway. The vehicle continued down the embankment. The driver was struck by two vehicles after landing on the freeway. The drivers stopped and cooperated with the investigation. Emergency medical personnel responded and determined that the ejected driver had not survived her injuries.
The name of the woman is being withheld at this time so that her family can be properly notified. The cause of the collision remains under investigation. Anyone with information regarding the collision is encouraged to contact Officer Sandoval at 909-383-4247.
