LOS ANGELES – A female pedestrian was struck and killed on San Fernando Road north of Loosemore Street officials said. On August 25th at around 2:15 a.m. the victim was crossing San Fernando Road when she was struck by two northbound traveling vehicles.
The first vehicle to hit her, a white box truck continued on without stopping, while the second to hit the victim remained at the scene. The victim was transported to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
Authorities said that the woman was not in the marked crosswalk when she was hit. The driver who fled the scene remains outstanding Friday afternoon. The identity of the woman will be released pending notification of next of kin.
