HINKLEY – Homicide detectives are investigating the murder of a Barstow-area transient who was found deceased in Hinkley.
The lifeless body of Jaime Hernandez, 30, was found on Wednesday, September 6, 2018, at 8:57 a.m. in an area near the roadway at Highway 58 and Dixie Road in Hinkley. Deputies from the Barstow quickly responded to the area where they confirmed the report and determined that the victim was a male. Due the nature of his injuries, which have not been disclosed by authorities, homicide detectives responded to the scene. When they arrived, they assumed the investigation.
No suspects have been identified and the investigation is ongoing. Updates will be provided as information becomes available.
