VICTORVILLE – City of Victorville officials announced northbound I-15 ramp closures that will last from Friday, November 4, 2016, to Sunday, November 6, 2016.
These closures are necessary to allow paving of portions of Bear Valley Road near the cross section with Mariposa Road officials said in the Thursday news release. There will be no northbound Bear Valley Road access to either enter or exit the northbound I-15 from Friday at 8:00 p.m. until Sunday at 6:00 p.m.
Motorists are advised to take alternate routes whenever possible as Bear Valley Road traffic, although permitted is expected to be congested due to altered traffic patterns and closed lanes. Southbound ramps, both on and off of the I-15 freeway at Bear Valley Road will remain open, but officials said that access may be limited between Friday night and Sunday evening.
For the safety of yourself and other motorists, using extra caution when traveling through the affected area is recommended. ‘The paving is a continuation of the City’s construction project to improve Bear Valley Road that began at the beginning of October,” city officials said. “The roadwork is on schedule and expected to be complete prior to Thanksgiving.”
