LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. – A Lake Elsinore man was arrested for the possession of illicit drugs for the purpose of sale.
On Friday, June 29, 2019, deputies from the Lake Elsinore Station Problem Oriented Policing Team (POP) was conducting proactive enforcement in the are of Riverside Drive in the City of Lake Elsinore. The extra enforcement was done as a result of community complaints about drug activity in the area.
Deputies made contact with John Bernard, 32, who is on active probation in the County of Riverside.
Deputies conducted a search and found a small amount of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and 29 grams of suspected heroin.
Bernard was arrested for possession of a controlled substance for sale and violating the terms of his probation. Bernard was booked into Cois Byrd Detention Center.
