LLANO – The occupants of a Cessna plane narrowly escaped major injury or even death after a Llano crash Sunday afternoon.
At around 1:30 p.m. the small plane crashed in the 34800 block of Largo Vista Road just after taking off. The occupants in the plane said that when the plane reached between 40-50 knots at around 25-30 feet altitude the plane stalled without warning. The plane then flipped backward coming to a crash landing in an orchard, Sheriff’s officials said.
The occupants, all from Northern California escaped through doors and the windshield just before the plane burst into flames. All occupants suffered only minor injuries as a result of the crash and were transported to the hospital for treatment. The incident remains under investigation.
