LUCERNE VALLEY – A 42-year-old Lucerne Valley man was arrested for assault on Thursday afternoon authorities said. The arrest was a result of a Friday, March 10, 2017, incident that was reported at around 4:18 p.m. when deputies responded to the 39000 block of East End Road in Lucerne Valley.
The responding deputy from the Victor Valley Station learned that Robert Alan Foerstel was in an argument at the home. During the argument he fired a gun, broke out a vehicle window, and prevented his girlfriend from leaving. When a friend attempted to step in to help the victim, Foerstel allegedly threatened him. Foerstel fled the scene before deputies arrived and a warrant was obtained for his arrest.
Nearly a month later, on Thursday, April 6, 2017, another disturbance call was made at the same home. When deputies arrived, they made contact with Foerstel, who was taken into custody and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for assault with a firearm, false imprisonment and criminal threats. He is being held in lieu of $500,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on Monday afternoon.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Deputy Kevin Kraft at the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Lucerne Sub-station at (760) 248-7655. Persons wishing to remain anonymous may report information to WeTip at 800-78-CRIME (27463) or by accessing WeTip’s website at www.wetip.com.
