CHINO, Calif. – A customer was injured at the Soft Touch Car Wash after an employee lost control of the vehicle and after hitting several parked cars, crashed into the building.
On Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at around 11:07 a.m. the traffic unit was informed of an incident at the car wash located at 5246 Riverside Drive in the City of Chino. The injured male victim was apparently inside the building when the vehicle crashed into it. A witness said that the wife of the man who was injured was screaming uncontrollably.
The man was rushed to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries police officials said. The Department of Building and Safety responded to the scene to assess the structural damage. The exact cause of the collision remains under investigation.
