BEAUMONT, Calif. – Beaumont Police are asking for the public’s help to identify the suspect involved in a strong-arm robbery.
On Sunday, March 31, 2019, at around 11:03 a.m., police responded to the report of a robbery that had just occurred in the 800 block of East 5th Street. The reporting party said that an unknown white man had went to his home to meet with the victim who was selling an electronic device on a local buy/sell app.
The suspect who identified himself as Albert, grabbed the item and threw conterfeit money at the victim as he ran back to his vehicle. He was last seen driving northbound on Palm Avenue, from 5th Street in a red 4-door sedan police officials said. He was described as being a white man, 20-30 years old, around 6’ tall, with light brown hair.
“We encourage our citizens when attempting to purchase or sell merchandise online, whether through an App or website to arrange to meet the person(s) in a well-lit, public area, or even arrange to meet at the police station to avoid being a victim,” Beaumont Police officials said.
