VICTORVILLE- A Rite Aid Loss Prevention Officer was assaulted by a male robbery suspect, trying to stop the suspect from stealing bottles of alcohol.
On June 13, 2017, at around 6:02 p.m. an unknown black male adult was caught on surveillance video at a Rite Aid on 14600 block of 7th Street, trying to conceal multiple bottles of alcoholic beverages in a backpack.
The Loss Prevention Officer suspected a theft was occurring, so he tried to confront the suspect. As the Loss Prevention Officer confronted the suspect charged and struck him in the face. The suspect fled the store and once outside was seen leaving the location on a BMX style bicycle on La Paz.
