LOS ANGELES, Calif. – A Riverside man is on life support following an assault in a parking lot at Dodgers Stadium.
On Friday, March 29, 2019, Rafael Reyna, 47, had just had an evening out watching a Dodgers game. He was on the phone with his wife, Christel Reyna, just after midnight when she said she heard the assault on the phone. Witnesses told police that the force caused Rafael Reyna to fall onto the concrete where his head hit causing head trauma.
A witness reported the incident and paramedics rushed to the aid of Mr. Reyna. He was transported to the hospital in critical but stable condition authorities said.
His wife said that the assault occurred in Lot 3 just after midnight and she is hoping that someone will come forward with the suspect description. The family has started a Go Fund Me Account to assist the family as they get through this unexpected tragedy.
“We need help to cover medical expenses,” said Christel Reyna. “He was the main source of income for our family and somehow someway we need to make it through this. I anticipate some tough roads ahead of us, but we believe in the power of our Lord to heal him and carry our family through.”
No arrested have been made and no suspect information is available at this time. The motive for the assault is unknown at this time.
