NIPTON – On man died and several others were injured after a vehicle crashed on the I-15 and Halloran Summit Road on Wednesday morning.
CHP officials said that the 2004 Ford E150, was driven northbound on the I-15 by a 25-year-old man when for reasons which remain under investigation the vehicle lost control and overturned. Two of the six occupants inside were ejected, one a 20-30-year-old man killed as a result of the collision. The other injured occupants were transported to the hospital with various injuries, moderate to major.
Alcohol is not a suspected factor in the collision. The collision remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol. Anyone who witnessed this collision should contact the CHP Barstow office at (760)255-8700.
