WHEATON, Fl. – A 12-year-old Montgomery County, Florida girl was raped in front of her home after accepting a ride from a stranger during a thunderstorm last week.
On Thursday, May 23, 2019, the female victim was walking home from school. As she walked home in the inclement weather, a man pulled his vehicle next to her. Appearing to be a kind stranger, the girl accepted his offer to give her a ride home. The girl gave the man the address to her home and he took her to the address. He parked his vehicle in front of her home, where he sexually assaulted the young girl.
Following the assault, the suspect allowed the victim to get out of the vehicle. She ran to the home where one of her parents waited for her arrival. She told her parent about what had happened and the police were called. Police began investigating the incident, leading to the identification of James Allen Booker, 59, of Weymouth Street in Upper Marlboro.
On Tuesday, May 28, 2019, Police responded to Booker’s place of employment with an arrest warrant. He was arrested without incident and was booked into jail for one count of second-degree rape and one count of a third-degree sex offense.
