MEMPHIS, TN. – A mother and daughter were arrested earlier this month by stuffing crab legs worth around $200 into a purse, police said.
The manager of a SuperLo Foods grocery store in Memphis noticed the two women putting the crab legs into a purse. The manager confronted the women and she was hit twice in the face. Felicia Hollins and Gabrielle Hodges, her daughter, were identified as possible suspects by police. The victim positively identified the two as the two involved in the crab-leg theft.
Hollins and Hodges were arrested on August 18, 2019, and are facing charges including theft of property and assault. Authorities said that both women have admitted to the theft of the crab legs.
