A Newhall man was sentenced to eight years and eight months in prison for ramming a police car, officials said. Jesse Alan Tucker, 31, was pursued by police in a stolen Ford F-150 truck on February 2, 2015. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s officials said that evidence at trial indicated that Tucker hit the deputy’s patrol car with the truck, backed up and aimed the vehicle toward the deputy.
Just days before, on January 28, 2015, Tucker had successfully evaded police driving recklessly through William S. Hart Park and damaging property. The jury found Tucker guilty of assault upon a peace officer, resisting executive officer and two felony counts of driving or taking a vehicle without consent.
