VICTORVILLE – Authorities are yet to determine the motive or the suspect involved in a shooting last week.
On Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at around 7:56 p.m. deputies from the Victorville Station reported to the 15400 block of Sixth street responding to the shooting of a 38-year-old man. When deputies arrived they found the victim, Terrell Gant, of Victorville, lying on the ground unresponsive. Witnesses reported that Gant was shot in the face by a Hispanic man who was in a dark-colored sedan with several other occupants.
The victim was rushed to a local hospital, then airlifted to a trauma center where he remained in critical condition until being pronounced dead on Monday, June 18, 2018, at around 8:43 p.m. The suspect is described as being between 18 to 20-years-old, thin build, and around 5’10”. Homicide detectives have assumed the investigation.
