ALTADENA, Calif. – Homicide investigators are attempting to identify the suspect involved in a shooting in Altadena on Monday.
At around 4:39 p.m., Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators responded to the 2100 block of Santa Anita Avenue in Altadena to investigate the shooting of two black males. Both of the victims were rushed to a local hospital, where an 18-year-old black male died as a result of his injuries. The second victim, a black male juvenile was shot in his lower extremities, authorities said. He was transported to the hospital in unknown condition.
The suspect was described only as being a Hispanic male. He shot at the victims from inside a vehicle. The vehicle description is unknown, but it headed southbound on Santa Anita Avenue.
The investigation is ongoing, and there is no additional information available at this time.
