OXNARD, Ca. – An Oxnard man was arrested for the alleged molestation of three female victims ages 4-10 years old.
The suspected child molestation was reported on January 21, 2020, at around 12:25 p.m. The Oxnard Police Department’s Family Protection Unit responded and assumed the investigation. On January 24, 2020, Francisco Mejia was arrested as a result of the findings. He has been charged by the Ventura District Attorney’s Office for 12 counts of Penetration with a Foreign Object on a child, Forcible Lewd Acts on a Child, and Lewd Acts on a Child. Police officials said that the crimes occurred between 2003 and 2016, in the City of Oxnard. The three victims were females between 4 and 10-years-old.
Mejia is at the Ventura County Jail and is being held in lieu of $1 million bail. Investigators believe that there may be other victims. Anyone with information should contact Detective Michael McManama at (805)385-7662.
