A Montebello woman pleaded no contest on Monday to second-degree commercial burglary and grand theft of personal property for stealing packages, officials said.
Rianna Adrienne Media, 20 was captured on video on May 10th by the homeowner as he confronted her walking away from his porch carrying his packages. When confronted, she said that her mother lived at the home and the packages were not his.
He told her he would call the police because that was his home and she was holding his packages, she then dropped the packages and left. Two days later Medina checked into a Rosemead motel using another person’s identification, the prosecutor said. The following day Medina was arrested by the Alhambra police.
After Medina’s plea to the two felony counts, she was immediately sentenced to 180 days in jail and ordered to complete a 180 day live in residential treatment program when released. She will also be on formal probation for five years, Deputy District Attorney Vanessa Alfaro said.
