PALM DESERT, Calif. – Palm Desert deputies are searching for a bank robbery suspect who robbed a bank on Friday.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, wearing an orange jumpsuit entered the bank in the 41900 block of Cook Street at around 11:34 a.m. He walked up to the teller and demanded money. The bank teller complied and the suspect fled the location with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Deputies arrived shortly after and learned that the suspect had fled prior to their arrival. They did an area search, but did not locate the subject.
The suspect was described as wearing a wide brimmed straw hat, being 5’6 to 5’8, and being 180-200 pounds. No one was injured as a result of the robbery.
The Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station is asking anyone with information regarding the incident to contact investigators at 760-836-1600.
