OXNARD, Calif. – The Oxnard Police Department was dispatched to a drainage ditch filled with water on Saturday morning.
At 7:25 a.m., officers responded to the area of Victoria Avenue, north of Gum Tree Lane for the report of a vehicle that hydro-planed off of the roadway into the ditch. The driver, frantically called 911 stating that she was trapped inside of her vehicle, which was filling up with water. When officers arrived, they were able to safely remove her from her vehicle.
The Oxnard Police Department said that they would like to remind residents to drive cautiously during the storm.
