Torrance, Calif. – Police are at the scene of Del Amo Fashion Center (mall) in the City of Torrance for the report of a shooting.
In the afternoon of Monday, June 3, 2019, a shooting was reported in the food court area of the large shopping mall. Unconfirmed reports state that one person was injured as a result of the shooting. The shooter was reported to be a Hispanic male adult, in his 20’s. He is believed to have a shaved head and witnesses reported that he was wearing a black shirt and checkered shorts.
Those who did not self-evacuate were evacuated by police. Following the evacuation, the mall was placed on lockdown.
No arrest has been made at this time and no other information is available. At this time authorities are not sure if the gunman is hiding or fled the location.
